Scott Cocklin- Marketing Specialist. Recently, Scott graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in both marketing and public relations. He gained experience and knowledge through various classes he took and the marketing competitions he competed in, which include a Google AdWords Campaign, DMAWEF MAXI Competition, and the Target Case Study Competition. These competitions taught him how to think outside the box and not just go along with the “normal” things that everyone else is used to doing. During Scott’s college career at Salisbury, he did several marketing projects; some of them included holding a “College Student Day” for the Delmarva Shorebirds, planning events for his fraternity, as well as marketing and developing events for his practicum at the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council. He learned a lot about “real world” marketing through these events, he couldn’t just put the ideas on paper and assume they would work; he had to implement them and troubleshoot as necessary.
